Ben and Jerry’s Free Cone Day

One of the sadest moments of my life is when I enter the security line at the airport on Maui, having to leave….. This time, the guy in front of me had on a Free Cone Day t-shirt. Without even seeing the front of it, I commented that Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz is my favorite Ben and Jerry’s Flavor. He was opening a store on Maui. A week after I returned home, I was on Cape Cod driving towards Provincetown and drove into the parking lot of a Ben and Jerry’s to find that it was Free Cone Day. I was so happy ordering a FREE Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz, please, please. It was almost as good as being back in Maui.

Soul Surfer

Saw the movie Soul Surfer last night, about Bethany Hamilton the surfer from Hawaii who had her arm taken by a shark attack. What a great, inspirational movie. Not only is it filmed in Hawaii, but also in the waves. I recommend this movie to everyone. It’s very spiritual too and I love being reminded that God is guiding me in the right direction and that everything will work, as it has for Bethany.

Spring is here

Took a walk on the beach in Marblehead today with my roommate from college. Spring was in the air, the snow is gone, even some flowers are coming up. I finally feel like I don’t live in Siberia anymore. And since Memorial Day is about 50 days away, so I decided to go for a run, the first run of the year. It was great running by the harbor, feeling warm breezes on my face. As soon as I returned home, I took a two hour nap, so much for trying to get in shape…..Happy Spring.
